Twenty years after her mother’s death under murky circumstances in 1999, Gemma Hall is raising her daughter, Maya, on her own in Pittsburgh—in the very childhood home where those events took place. The arrival of three hideously ugly individuals with suspicious behavior in her neighborhood appears linked to the resurgence of terrifying visions and nightmares plaguing the young dental hygienist.
